Taleem: urdu word for education, Education, the general sense through which aims and habits of people can be tranformed. Why is Taleem important? Why is it necessary?
Taleem has been emphasized to you ever since you started going to school. Your mother has been telling you that if you get good grades at school, it will make her happy.Your teachers have been persuading you that without education you will not succeed in life. But what does education matter to you personally?
Is Taleem important because you may dwell on the idea that education is a big tradition of transferring the existing knowledge from generation to generation and thus preserving it for the future.
Or because without proper Taleem it is hard to succeed in modern world. Taleem is the standard according to which people are judged, and therefore to meet the high expectations one has to obtain proper knowledge via education.

In confronting the many challenges that the future holds in store, humankind sees in Taleem an indispensable asset in its attempt to attain the ideals of peace, freedom and social justice.
Our century has been as much one of sound and fury as of progress - progress that in any case has not been equally shared. At the dawn of a new century the prospect of which evokes both anguish and hope, it is essential that all people with a sense of responsibility turn their attention to both the aims and the means of Taleem.
More precisely, the perceived goal of Taleem is to make the individual and the society 'better' in some qualitative sense seems to missing in its current form.
In our rush to get everybody educated, we do not consider it important to ask ourselves why we need education. An idealist notion about the necessity of it has been taken for granted. If fact this notion has been so strongly developed that we are taught to overlook the shortcomings in the implementation of this activity.
The words ‘cultivate” and “civilize” are almost synonymous to the word ‘educate/Taleem’. It is important as it teaches us the right behaviors , the good manners. It teaches us how to lead our lives. Education is the basis of culture and civilization. It cultivates us into mature individuals capable of planning for our futures and taking the right decisions.
The future of a nation is safe in the hands of educated individuals. Education is important for the economic growth of a nation equality and socialism education forms a support for talents to excel in life. It is the backbone of society.
Taleem is also important because it equips us with all that is needed to make our dreams come true. It is about knowing that everything has a science to it. It is about learning to reason. Everything till every question meets its answer, it can lead us to enlightenment. Taleem is not just a matter of training the mind. Training makes for efficiency, but it does not bring about completeness. Knowledge and efficiency are necessary, which are brought up by Taleem.
