What We DoSummer School So far TSKL has been able to conduct two Summer Schools successfully. As a total around 500-600 students have been taught during a course of two months every year. Children from nearby slum areas and close vicinity were taught subjects like Math, English, Science etc by Nixor College students who volunteered to teach during the summer. Several events were held to inculcate education in a fun and exciting way. Taleem Hamesha Confining itself to just children didn’t seem to do justice to its name ‘Taleem SAB Ke Liye’, thus, keeping this view in mind, ‘Taleem Hamesha’ was initiated. Nixor janitors, guards etc were and are still being taught social basics and certain courses of curriculum. This program will continue throughout the years to come. The Taleem Hamesha syllabus has been specially designed so as to help the janitors in their everyday life. Currently we are working on extending the "Taleem Hamesha" project to the summers Blue Sky As the name suggests it, is basically teaching children under the open sky, there is no specific institution needed nor any other paraphernalia other than a white board, an open space (usually a parking lot), books, stationery and of course the students! These are those little kids you will find on the streets selling flowers to you at signals trying to earn enough to help them survive the day, and those 'chotays' who will sell fruits to you at the next fruit vendor you stop to purchase some fruits from. |
Remedial
Remedial is a project launched by Taleem Sab Ke Liye to educate children who go to school, only to find a class full of students but no teacher.
Currently the TSKL team is teaching mathematics and English to students of grades 6 and above of the Gul Hasan Lashari School in Gizri in order to prepare them for their matric examinations. |
Paint For A Cause
Taleem Sab Kay Liye carries out this project in various schools that needs renovation. TSKL volunteers renovated three schools through this project, including Gul Hassan Lashari School and Qamar-ul-Islam. They not only painted, but also repaired infrastructure and strived to provide a better learning environment for the students.
Sponsor A Child
Sponsor A Child is a project where children who want to study and their parents are willing but unable to enroll them into good schools due to financial problems, are supported with financial aid. Need-based scholarships are provided to deserving individuals, covering the entire expense of their education, with support from sponsors. One girl has already been sponsored, and two others are in the process of being provided a school education under this program.
